The delegation of the RA State Committee for Repatriation visited Abkhazian cultural centers in the Republic of Turkey
There was a meeting with the leadership of the Federation of Abkhaz cultural centers during the visit.

The delegation headed by the chairman of the State Committee for Repatriation Vadim Kharazia were invited to the Federation of Abkhazian cultural centers in Turkey to participate in an event dedicated to the second anniversary of the opening of the Abkhazian cultural center in Sakarya.

According to the Head of Relations with compatriots of the State Committee for repatriation Dzhansuh Lazba, it is one of 13 Abkhaz cultural centers that are part of the Federation.

"The town is home to numerous Sakarya Abkhaz diaspora, more than 80 thousand people, and the cultural center unites them", - said Lazba. In addition, in Sakarya the delegation met with students from Abkhazia studying in Turkish universities.

"There are 19 of our students studying in Sakarya various specialties in areas promising for our society, such as tourism, computer technology, agriculture and others ", - said Lazba

There was a meeting with the leadership of the Federation of Abkhazian cultural centers in Turkey during the visit, led by new chairman Ahmet Hapat elected to the post in November last year. 
 
"We have discussed future plans and joint action on issues of repatriation, education, business and other general topics", - told Lazba. He noted that the key issue was to discuss further cooperation in finalizing the draft Agreement on cooperation.

"We have signed the Treaty, but with the appointment of a new chairman, we can revise the document, and then supplement it and sign again", - he said

in addition, the delegation visited the Abkhaz cultural center in Izmit, which was opened last year. Lazba told about the meeting with the sons of prominent Abkhaz poet, scholar, public figure, Chevalier of the Order "Akhdz-Apsha" first degree Omar Beiguaa - Ergin and Shensou. This year in Abkhazia scheduled events dedicated to the 115th anniversary of his birth. The Cabinet of Ministers has set up a commission to organize commemorative events, which is headed by Prime Minister Artur Mikvabiya. "When we talked about it with his sons, they were very happy. In turn, they promised to convey the valuable materials to Abkhazia, to the Museum of History of the Abkhaz foreigners named after Omar Beiguaa, which was opened by the State Committee for Repatriation in 2013 ", - said Dzhansuh Lazba.

 The visit of the delegation of the State Committee for Repatriation in Turkey lasted from 19 to 21 February.
